IMC Logistics acquired drayage company American Pacific Transportation the company announced March 4.
The addition of the California-based company adds West Cost capacity for Collierville, Tennessee-based IMC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As a result of this acquisition, we will have more than 500 trucks in California, demonstrating our commitment to our customers in this region,” said IMC CEO Joel Henry.
The CEO noted that he expects the transition to be “seamless” as the companies share similar values and commitment to customer service.
American Pacific Transportation operates locations in Calexico, Chino, Commerce, Lompoc and San Diego, California. It has been providing domestic rail and international port services as well as regional trucking and exclusive distribution services since 1976, IMC said.
