More than three dozen trucking companies and individuals pledged a total of $3.7 million to the Trucking Cares Foundation, announced the American Trucking Associations last month.
The 37 inaugural members of the TCF Founders Club – including bankrupt Yellow Corp. – have pledged $100,000 each to the trucking industry foundation over the next decade.
The Trucking Cares Foundation donated more than $130,000 to disaster relief, drug abuse awareness, human trafficking advocacy, low-income driver education and job training in 2023, according to the ATA.
TCF President Phil Byrd, president and CEO of Bulldog Hiway Express, called Founders Club members “true heroes” in a statement.
“Their service attitude and spirit are demonstrated every day on every highway and byway in America as they serve the needs and wants in every corner of this great land,” he said.
