CRST acquired BCB Transport, according to a decision dated 31 October announcement.
The Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based trucking giant did not disclose terms of the deal. Founded in 2011, BCB Transport is a Mansfield, Texas-based transportation company with more than 300 trucks and brokerage services, according to the company’s website.
“With an impeccable track record for performance and a data-driven mindset, BCB will complement CRST’s Capacity Solutions business, allowing us to find more ways to maximize our capacity and provide unlimited solutions for customers,” said the president and CEO by CRST, Hugh Ekberg.
CRST said the companies’ similar mindsets and customer bases should strengthen its relationships with existing customers as well as create new opportunities for dedicated, fast and flat business and logistics.
Prior to the acquisition, CRST already operated more than 4,000 tractors, employed over 6,000 people and was the 26th largest trucking company by revenue Transport Topics’ 2023 Top 100 ranking.
